Your GP practice will provide a Medication Adjustment Form (MAF) with specific instructions for any changes you need to make to your medications on the day you start the total diet replacement (TDR) products.
It’s important to keep your MAF in a safe place for reference. Your MAF is specific to you and your health needs. Following the guidance on your MAF is crucial to stay safe during Phase 1 of the programme. Some diabetes medications are unsafe to take on a low-calorie diet and could make you seriously ill if not adjusted correctly.
If you have any doubts about your prescribed medication adjustments, please contact your GP practice and do not start the TDR products until you are certain of the adjustments you need to make.
